Have you heard of Ehlers-Danlos syndromes (EDS)?

Red Dust hadn’t either, until our last photoshoot when we discovered our wonderful model Emily, the mother of two small daughters, had been diagnosed with this rare syndrome.

The Elhers-Danlos society uses the Zebra as its logo because the syndrome is unexpected. When you hear hoofbeats behind you, you don’t expect a Zebra.

Emily was looking at our new Patterned Emu headband and very quietly said they would look great in Zebra fabric. Immediately we were on the ball, sourced the fabric, and had some sizing samples ready to test. They are now for sale with 20% of our profit going to Emily to be donated to the EDS Society for research into this rare and debilitating syndrome.

The Medical Zebra headwrap is a very close relation of the Emu Exerciser. So close, in fact, there is only one key detail that can help you tell them apart:

1. The fabric used for the patterned side of this headband is special. While both are reversible, the EDS Awareness headband is a solid colour on one side only – the other side sports the Zebra pattern used to bring awareness to EDS.

The Patterned Emu Exerciser loves to be washed with like-minded colours on a cool and gentle cycle. In fact, she has a strong dislike of almost anything else wash related. Once she’s nice and clean, her thing is to lay luxuriously on a flat surface until dry.

Please don’t iron her or put her in the tumble dryer… she’ll probably leave home if you do.

Standard shipping for orders within Australia tends to take 1-10 business days. Tracked post + free shipping (over AUD$50) orders should arrive within 1-5 business days.

We offer free shipping on all orders valued at over AUD$50.

For all other orders we charge a flat delivery rate of AUD$7, excluding any third-party fees.
