Known as ‘the cashmere of the plant world’, not only is bamboo one of the softest materials out there, it’s also:

Speaking of temperature regulation, let’s get our tech-nerd on for a bit. Bamboo’s temperature regulation rates at a very high level. Why? Because the cross-sections of its fibres are filled with numerous micro-gaps and micro-holes. These gaps and holes trap warm air, which keeps you toasty warm in winter. But that’s not all. Bamboo also has an incredible level of natural breathability, which means bamboo fabric will keep you incredibly cool and comfortable all year round.
Max-Dri + MicroBlok

Max-Dri and MicroBlok technology. Sounds like a big deal, right? Well, it kind a is.
Max-Dri moisture management technology enables fabric to dry quickly, meaning it has excellent wicking capabilities and will keep your skin feeling dry and comfortable, even when your session is a sweat-fest.
Fabrics with MicroBlok technology undergo a special treatment process that helps them prevent odours and increases the health and hygiene of your activewear. Now, who wouldn’t want that?

We’re glad you asked – it’s super-important to us.
ZQ is a wool certification standard that ensures the Merino fibres labelled as such are the bee’s knees when it comes to sustainable and ethical wool supply (for humans, the woolly animals themselves, and our environment). Sourced from the best New Zealand growers, the ZQ certification means we’re assured of the values, vision, and ethical farming systems that went into the production of our fabric.
We’ve chosen to join the ZQ Merino flock because like us, they’re committed to continual improvement. A ZQ certified farmer’s focus isn’t only on fibre quality, but on animal welfare and health, the environment, and their own social responsibility. We wouldn’t have it any other way. Would ewe?

Recycled Polartec Fleece

Our recycled Polartec Fleece is incredibly cozy, comforting, and warm, and 100% made to keep you active, even during the coldest winter conditions.
We use Polartec in our activewear designs because it boasts extraordinary warmth and moisture management qualities, unmatched by any other polar fleece material. This highly breathable fabric works to keep you comfortable by creating tiny air pockets in the cross-sections of its fibres.
These air pockets trap your natural body heat close to your skin to keep you warm, while the fabric’s high level of breathability means it also dries quickly to further minimise heat loss – perfect for adventuring in extremely cold weather conditions.
We use recycledPolartec Fleece because we want to do what we can to reduce our impact on the planet. This fabric is made in partnership with Unifi Inc using post-consumer recycling content. The Repreve100 yarn created by this partnership uses 100% clear plastic bottles to create a beautiful fabric that’s as easy on the planet as it is on the skin and the eye!

Tech Talk! Let us talk cotton
Cotton is a super comfortable fabric to wear and certainly has its uses - it is a natural fibre, it is breathable, it is super soft and is hypoallergenic so it doesn't irritate your skin. It is a great fabric for many different uses and occasions.
However, when it comes to the great outdoors and especially if you are venturing further a field or partaking in extended adventures, cotton has many shortcomings and may get you into trouble.
