I am super excited to introduce you to Janine and her Everyday Adventure of kite surfing and hiking. Kite surfing has always been something I have wanted to try and I love scrolling through Janine insta account @schninoe for the inspiration to step outside my comfort zone to give it a go.
Janine shares her challenge of getting out on her kiteboard by herself at a young age and how it was well worth it in the end.

What ACTIVE have you found?
Hiking, Kitesurfing, Snowboarding & Yoga
How did you find your ACTIVE?
I grew up in a very active family. My parents and one of my sisters are passionate windsurfers. When I was 10 I saw kitesurfers jumping over windsurfers. I was into it immediately.
Fortunately, my parents are very cool and allowed me to do a course at the age of 11 and I loved it. Ever since I am on the water whenever I can. Hiking came to me through my boyfriend. From the beginning on I loved it.
What do you love about your ACTIVE?
Being outdoors is pure freedom for me. It challenges me in a way that makes me grow a lot. It does not matter if I am hiking, Kitesurfing or doing other fun stuff. I feel the best when I am outdoors.
What surprises did you find along the journey?
I have met so many great people while being outdoors. I met a very good friend of mine in a parking lot in the middle of Norway.
What were the challenges getting started?
For Kitesurfing, I really recommend doing a training course. After my training, I was still quite young and had to learn to be brave and go Kitesurfing by myself. As a young girl that was quite a challenge to me. But so worth it.
How do you keep yourself motivated?
Honestly, for me being outdoors, hiking and kitesurfing is my motivation for everything else in life. It is my true passion where I can be free. ;)
If you could share one piece of inspiration to those finding their ACTIVE and staying motivated, what would it be?
Challenges may make the journey harder sometimes but it is really the only way to grow. After a challenging experience, I am nothing but proud of myself. Trust the journey and everything will be great.
How has your ACTIVE changed over the years?
Yes. I definitely developed a very strong love for road-tripping and hiking since I met my boyfriend. Also, I think we constantly change and grow with the experiences we make. Especially from bad experience 😂
Words of wisdom to share:
